WFO uses recycled plastics to build economical housing panels--Fenghua Acrylic Lenses

by:Eugenia     2022-01-10
Waste Free Oceans is referred to as WFO. Mainly located in Brussels, Belgium, they mainly carry out marine plastic waste clean-up activities on a global scale. At the same time, they cooperate with companies through some closed-loop projects and convert the collected recycled plastic into many sustainable products. The purpose of WFO is to find a solution to plastic pollution at the source. The 'WFO Refuge' constructed from plastic waste is currently expanding into a new field: plastic waste collected from waterways and land is mixed and processed and converted into panels that can be used to build affordable housing in local communities. The idea is to help people who have lost their homes due to natural disasters, thereby providing welfare to people in unfortunate parts of the world. At the Ecoondo Expo held in Rimini, Italy from November 6th to 9th, the first unique shelter model will be exhibited in the form of 'the world's first sample'. The exhibition brings together all areas of the circular economy, from materials and energy recovery to sustainable development. Corepla is an Italian non-profit recycling plastic packaging material waste association that supports WFO activities and cooperates in this project in Italy by providing materials for the construction of the first shelter.
